Having problems with your Acer Aspire 7720 Notebook PC ?

The notebook will not boot up. When the button is pressed, it lights up for about 10 seconds and then goes off. There is a faint hum which sounds like the fan starting up but that also stops when the light goes off. The screen stays blank. The notebook is plugged in to the mains and the green battery light is on showing that the battery is fully charged. At a guess it seems like the BIOS is not kicking in.
