If, when you go to Device Manager, you see an item listed as just a Network Controller or Network Device, with a yellow exclamation point attached, it means that your PC doesn't have the right software driver available to make this piece of hardware work. \015\012Alternately...IF your network card is listed under Network Devices in Device Manager WITHOUT an exclamation point attached, then ignore the preceeding instructions and try this instead: left click once on the Network Card (will be named after the manufacturer, such as Broadcom or Intel), then RIGHT click and choose UNINSTALL from the menu that appears. Agree to any warnings that appear about it causing it not to work. RESTART your PC. You should see the desktop icons come up and then Windows should rediscover the network card and reinstall a fresh set of drivers to support the card, wiping out the old set of software drivers that were potentially corrupt and allowing your PC to work again to gain access to the internet, etc..
