Having problems with your HP Pavilion dv6812nr Notebook ?

HP Pavilion DV6812 is not recovering or restoring!!

\015 HP Pavilion DV681nr notebook (running Vista). Got blue screen of death 3 days ago w/no warning. I've tried to restore to previous date (didn't work), ran windows diagnostics (hardware malfunction noted during test, but test log showed all passed), BIOS tests of hard drive & Mem all passed. Last ditch effort was a complete factory restore w/disks and from hard drive -- will not do although I've used the recovery disks dozens of times. Windows will not load at all. HP says I need to send it in. HP tells me "software and hardware are out of sync." what does that mean? Is there anything I can do? I am completely stumped. I don't mind being "factory fresh" as almost everything of value is on external hard drive anyway, but I can't even get the laptop to do that!! Thanks for your help.\015
