Having problems with your HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook ?
Randomly shutting down
\015 I have had a recent problem with my notebook randomly shutting down. When im on the battery it seems to shut down very easily and when i am plugged in and i play a game or watch a video it will shut down. if you could please tell me what the problem is and how i could solve it, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.\015\012I have a zv6000, and I know its over heating. This seems to be a common problem. What is the cause for this? Mine also has a AMD Athlon 64 4000+. If anyone can help please email me at [email protected] Thanks -Dan\015

The cause of the over heating is poor manufacturing and weak cooling designs. HP for years has had consistent issues with their cooling design which still baffles me to this day. If you were to open the HP you would notice immediately that the cooling design for the GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) and the CPU (Central Processing Unit) are minimal and even look way to weak to cool the system properly under heavy work loads. Most of the HP's are designed for a quiet experience, which means the fan doesn't move as much air at times as it needs to, not to mention the heat dissipate they tend to use actually burns off after a certain amount of time.

\015\012Think of the effects of driving a 4x4 truck through a desert with half your radiator fins missing - it's going to cool the engine but not nearly enough.

\015\012Happily sir there is something you can do to improve your overall experience with this issue, laptop coolers. They range from cheap to expensive and can help remove massive amounts of heat off the bottom of the laptop (which is where the heat needs to be removed). They help cool your CPU, GPU, memory, Chipset, and save you from burning your legs.

It sounds like your fan and cooling system may be malfunctioning. If the computer start and runs well for a little while it sounds like a heat problem. Laptops have safety features built in for excessive heat.
